Are candidates for priesthood screened for sex offensives?

To become a teacher or police officer your background is thoroughly checked, I wonder is the same done for people who want to become priests? Shouldn't it be, cause damn.
 
You are trying to attack the Catholic Church because of the molestation cases. Fine, fair enough. Those priests deserve all the punishment they are going to receive.

You then compare the office of priesthood with teachers and other occupations saying that they check for molestation. Fine, fair enough. So how do you explain teachers who molest kids, teachers who run off with kids and have babies with them.

I understand you blatant attempt at attacking the Catholic Church, and for that I pray that you can eventually see through your own hatred and bashing. But to use a comparison that has no insight, and in fact contradicts what you are saying in general... is sadly flawed.
