Are Cadillac Escalade's good cars?

No. Unreliable and overpriced. They are good in the snow, but their problems are expensive to fix after the warranty is over.

If you want an Escalade, get a Suburban. You will get a few less interior amenities, but it will save you $15,000.
 
Nope.

They're luxury SUVs. They don't do anything well, except look good. And that, is up to personal preference.
 
A luxury Chevorlet Suburban. You will really love the 10 miles a gallon around town. And up to 17 mpg on the highway. Good in the snow if it happens to be all wheel drive take away 2 MPG. There are hybrid versions if you can out last the waiting list that get 15+ city miles a gallon. Cadilac makes a CTS with all wheel drive and a direct injection V-6 that makes over 300 hp and over 25 MPG. It is not about size any more it is what are you confortable driving around and how much financing can you get.
