Are apologists capable of discussing Islamic terrorism without invoking the

Crusades & the Inquisition? Every time the subject is raised, apologists for those who want us dead come out of the woodwork to talk about the Crusades and the Inquisition. Events of centuries and millenia ago have nothing whatsoever to do with anyone's life today. I learned about the Crusades in World History class. Apparently, these guys studied them in Current Events.
bookish: Thank you for making my point. We're talking about today. Why must you and your ilk insist on discussing 1000 year old events?
reality: Do you know bookish? You're both stuck in the past.
lost: Are you serious? Israel is the size of New Jersey. The remainder of the Middle East is firmly in the hands of Muslims.
charles: Beslan and the Bali bombings were about Israel? That comes as news to me and a few billion others here on Planet Earth.
aflac: Congratulations on being one of the few who still understand the difference between the terms radical and reactionary. That being said, you didn't answer the question.
igor: Show me a 1000 year old Muslim and I'll buy him a beer.

Well putting yourself on the same level as the ones your speaking of is quite literal. Around the times of the Crusades and the Inquisition the Muslim extremists were just as roofless as they are now. They wanted to push Islam out so far and the Christians didn't want that to happen, this later lead to bloodshed and agony. But, today Muslims get more respect then Christians do anyway. But, Christian extremists don't go along blowing things up either as some Muslims have been known to do. So, I guess the Muslim extremists will never be happy until their religion is spread far and wide. Limiting the other world religions and making their religion respected even if it shouldn't always gain the respect needed.
