Are Allah & Ahura Mazda The Same God?

People often ask "are the Chistian God the same God as Allah,' so I decided to ask 'Is Allah(Muslim name for God) the same God as Ahura Mazda(Zoroastrian name for God)?
 
Zoroastrianism predates Islam and Christianity. It was a mono-theistic religion that started in the Middle East and that encouraged learning. Because of its focus on education and astrology they became very powerful and even people of other religions would employ them as advisers.

Zoroastrianism was a contemporary with Ancient Judaism and some argue that it was a major source for all Abrahamic beliefs.

Islam, like Christianity is a chauvinistic religion and would never admit to another religion being a source for its belief.
