Are all gadgets safe to add to my google/windows sidebar?

I just got My computer fixed from its last crash and i dont want it to get a virus again. The gadgets i want to add to my google sidebar are The dictionary.com gadget and the eintstein's quote of the day gadget. when i press add, a pop up comes up tellling me that google hadnt tested its security settings. I s it safe to press ok and have it added to my sidebar? Im scared that I will get another virus. ANY HELP IS GREATLY APPRECIATED.
 
No it is not safe. Google offers add ons created by others but in some instances cannot vouch for the safety. I stopped using Google Sidebar because of problems with viruses attacking my computer from the Gadget downloads.
