I'm going to tow a ford bronco tommorow and the guy at the towing place said they are all 4 wheel drive and i have to get the more expensive trailer that takes all 4 wheels off the ground. How can I tell?

I had a full size '85 or '86 Ford Bronco that was 2 wheel drive. I had to manually lock in the front hubs to make it 4 wheel drive.

the guy at the place is trying to screw you and is a ******* idiot. put the transfer case in neutral and for good mesaure it ain't required and my pickups been towed with out disconnecting it but on older vehicles for good measure disconnect the front driveshaft and tape the u joints. like i said ain't required but it never hurts. spose you could just throw it in neutral but it's better to be safe than sorry. and like the first person said pin that ****** at the place you went to down and tear every last one of his teeth out with a pair of pliars and make him eat them. that'll teach him to lie to people.

All fullsize Broncos are 4 wheel drive. Bronco II's came in 2wd and 4wd. If it's 4wd it will have either a transfer case shifter inside it or a 4wd button on the dash somewhere.
You DO NOT need a 'more expensive trailer' and you DO NOT need to take all four wheels off the ground. When a 4wd is in 2wd (4wd not engaged) it is just like a '2wd'.
Go back to that towing place, grab a pair of pliers and pull that guy's teeth out and force him to eat them. Then leave, never to return.
