Are 1986 Dodge Aries hard to maintain?

Had an 85 2.2 engine great car put on over 500,000 miles on original transmission..automatic, 2 sets of struts, 3 sets of brake rotors on the front. Replaced original engine with a used one at 210,000 miles and drove it until it fell victim to rust at about 507,000. Just service it well. Only complaint I had was the connector pipe between exhaust pipe and muffler seemed to burn out often.

It may be when it comes to parts.

Since it's 23 years old, technology has come a long way since then. Cars are now computerized, so should something go wrong deep within the organs of the chassis, it could end up costing more than a newer car since they will be harder to find.

Good Luck!
