I've had my aquarium cycling for almost 2 months now. It's freshwater, 30 gallons, and I have 4 danios and 2 tetras. My nitrite spiked over 5ppm over 3 weeks ago, eliminating ammonia, and my nitrates hit 15ppm, but went back down to 5ppm and haven't budged since. What am i doing wrong? I only top off the water every few days to muffle the sound of the filter.
