AQ worlds chat problems?

Ok me and my friend are playing and he cant go into the open chat servers so i helped him verify then after that it still didnt let him in it says "Ask your parent to upgrade your account to go into chat enabled servers"I MEAN REALLY its verified what else does it need?
 
Does your friend entered his E-Mail or a free web mail like MSN? My two friends had the same problem because they entered their MSN instead of E-Mail adress.
