Im going to Palomar College in San Marcos, CA. Its a community college. I filled out the FAFSA. I applied for the BOGW which waives the enrollement fees, and I was a foster kid until I was 18. I just want to know an estimate number of how much I should plan on getting. Does anyone have any suggestions?
I only made about 8000 dollars last year, so a very low income.

You'll probably get a decent amount. How much do you make a year? Since you have no parents, I assume, then you should be filing as a Dependent, am I correct?

Talk to your school. When did you file? When did they receive it? If you call them up, they may at least be able to give you an estimate. Call them directly and as soon as possible.

Also, try collegeboard.com. They have a Financial Aid Estimator. :)

Good luck!

Depending on how much you earned in 2008 and your household size and your school's cost of tuition....you should get quite a bit. The maximum Pell Grant is $5,350. per school year.

If you've completed your FAFSA, this information should show up on your financial aid information page on your school's website...or you can contact your financial aid adviser at your school.
