I'm going to my grandparent's surprise anniversary party next month. The party is at a moderately prized Italian restaurant (about 10-15 dollars a plate, I believe) and is in the afternoon (noon-3pm). My mother thinks I should wear a dress and my father said I could go in a swim suit and no one would care. What is appropriate for that time of day and that sort of event? I'd love to call my grandma and ask what she wants me to wear, but that's impossible. My aunt said she was just delighted we were coming and didn't mention clothing, and my sister said I should wear clothes. I have a very helpful family. Should I go casual or dressy? Ah! I don't want to over do it but I also don't want to under do it. Help!
