Applying for Financial Aide?

I'm a high school senior entering college fall 2010. I'm planning to attend community college first and then transferring to UC. When would be a good time to apply for financial aide. Can i apply for it now or once im in college
 
You will fill out the FAFSA after January 1st and after your parents have completed their tax info, which is usually February/April.

You need to start looking for scholarships now, as if you wait you may miss out on a lot of chances at some free money.
