As the question says i'm applying to be a "news clerk" at my local newspaper. I technically qualify for all of the "qualifications", but since im a junior in high school its quite a long shot to get this job. However having it would be absolutely fantastic so i at least want to give it a shot. I already typed up my resume and a cover letter for it, but i was wondering if i should include a few articles that i have written for my school paper. I tried to stress my past work experience and my experience as features editor of my school paper... so maybe it would be important? but as clerk i wouldn't be doing any actual reporting, its more of typing and small editing. So what do you think? should i send in a few articles in addition to my application? is there anything else i should send in with it? (and you send in your recommendations only if they ask for them, right? i read that somewhere) Thanks for any help, sorry there's so many questions.
