trying to send in a cover letter? I applied on an online "Career Centre" for a job I really want, the company have set this up so I can only assume is this the way they want to receive applications (there are no contact e-mails etc on their main site, just a contact from you can fill in).
The form just consisted of a few details like my name, drop down menu on how I heard about job etc, and a box to paste in a CV.
I applied using this method a few days ago, but am now concerned that maybe a CV won't be enough to make be stand out, and I should send in a cover letter too, even though they haven't asked for one.
Would this just annoy them, as when I applied they sent me an automated e-mail saying than you and that they would ask for more info if they need it, or would it show that I am really interested in the job?
The only way I can think of getting in a cover letter would be to contact HR and get an e-mail address from them somehow, but this isn't how the company wants people to apply.
Some advice would be appreciated, I really want the job, and yes, I did tweak my CV to make relavant things stand out.
