i'm thinking now that they surely do. I have a macbook pro 17" in 2005 and one year later the screen had all lines going through it and apple told me it'd cost $1000 to fix. Then i bought a new macbook pro 17" in early 2009 and the battery is bulging and other problems are happening....all after just 1 year.
Apple do this on purpose so that your computer is out of warranty when problems occur, meaning you have to pay them more money. Never buying apple again, i've already spent close to $9000 on just 2 computers now that die after one years use, not good enough apple
