apple macbook screen broke how to get it fixed?

I dropped my macbook on the floor, well it feel from my shelf and hit my shoes on the ground. it didn't even sound like a hard fall and yet the screen is broken now. i checked on apple.com to see what type of coverage i have on my laptop and i have Apple's Limited Warranty till April 19, 2010. I want to know if that will cover me. Or if anything can. I don't want to try to fix the screen myself because I don't have the time and skills for that.

and what if i buy the applecare protection plan now will that cover my laptop
