Apple is the new Sony, and iPhone is the new PS3

similarities:

-hype
-focus on aesthetics
-jack of all trades (ps3=media center, iphone=ipod/phone/cam)
-proprietary standards
-boneheaded hardware choices (no rumble in ps3, no mem card slot on iphone)
-bonheaded network model (sony online, lack of 3g)
-expensive
 
Great, and after a few people get it at launch, everyone will realize it's overpriced and overhyped.

Can you think of a recent console that had an identical launch? I'll give you a hint, it's in the thread title.
 
How does Apple be the new Sony??? Apple only makes computers, ipods, and other small things. Sony makes EVERYTHING.

I would say Samsung is the new Sony.

People are idiots and will buy anything. Anyone who knows anything about technology never buys the 1st gen of anything unless they have $$ to burn
 
numb nuts are going poopoo over mms...the ability to send pictars and vids via text msg when the phone itself can send emails of whatever pics you take.

Some phones dont even support different carrier mms. example: I'm on att/cingular...someone from tmobile sends me a picture mms i have to go to a website to view it.
 
It does too many things and it looks too sensetive (sp) I think it'll have some huge problem when they first ship them out just like the 360
 
Oh, and Nintendo is now bigger than Sony, even though they pretty much only have 2 products (DS and Wii).

And Microsoft is bigger than Sony, Nintendo and Apple combined.
