Apologies - The Matrix

My apologies if there is already a thread on this, but I was so incensed I had to post. I am a big fan of the original Matrix movie, and it remains a favourite. When I saw the second movie I was a little bit gutted, mainly because of badly done CGI particularly during the Smith fight, but I thought hey its meant to be one half of an epic film, give it a chance. The next film will probably be amazing. When the new film came out, I read the terrible reviews both from critics and audiences and decided not to go, mainly as I didn't want to devalue the original in my heart. But as a fan and a completist, I felt I had to see the end of the trilogy.
I saw it yesterday. What a detestable and embarrassing piece of crap it is. The Wachowskis should have left their masterpiece alone. I feel ashamed of them. I actually felt bored. The characters, the plot, the acting, the script and particularly the ending are all shit.

As if the Architect wouldn't just finish Zion off anyway after Neo died.
How rubbish was the train station? As if the french bloke with the ridiculous and pompous name would give in that easily to Trinity's but I love him carry on. How pointless was the little girl? How cliched was that young guy in Zion? How cliched was Niobi making it against the odRAB? How long did Trinity take to die? How ripped off from Daredevil was the blind thing? The only decent thing was Smith.

Rant Over Grrrr. I feel so cheated.

I think they made a massive mistake shooting 2 and 3 together. Had they had a gap, and had some time to get some perspective on how they ended the 2nd film, and think about the directions they could take the 3rd, it could have been brilliant, not the pile of doo doo that it was.

There were some great ideas flying around the net after 2 about the direction the 3rd movie could have gone... Except it couldn't... Cause they'd already shot it.

The reason why the Architect doesn't finish off Zion is because as the Architect says at the end "we are machines" ie. they are not human and will not lie so he wontgo back on his deal with Neo. I thought the reason why the pompous french bloke gave in because trinity had a gun pointed straight at his face? The idea of the trainstation and the little girl was to give you a better insight into the world of the 'Matrix'.

Have you seen animatrix yet? One of the strories is how the young guy is Zion enRAB up there. I think its great how all three stories, the computer game and the animarix strories all tie in together.

I did think number 3 was a disappoinment, I thought the ending was a cop-out. I mean come on, making a nice deal with the machines......... Pah!

People read as much crap into these films as so called "experts" read into Shakespeares plays. I don't for a second believe they planned 3 films from the start and just made it up as they went along - much the same as Lucas did with Star Wars.
