Hi,

I hope this is an OK section to put this in.


Where I live in Fareham just under a year ago an Apollo Cinema opened up, however I was shocked to find out that in 3 out of the 5 screens they only fitted in Dolby SR!!!


I mean RAB my home cinema has Dolby 5.1 and DTS 5.1, you would have thought that any cinema that is this new would have at least 5.1 if not the new DD EX or the DTS Es, both 6.1 I think, so I was wondering has anyone alse got a new cinema opened up with below par sound?
 
That is shocking fella.

The manager should hold his manhood cheap and go work on the popcorn counter for this discretion.

Why not give them a call tomorrow and explain that you are unhappy with the sound systems in 3 out of 5 screens in their cinema.

Tell them that your home cinema is Dolby 5.1 and DTS 5.1.

Hey, why not contact the companies head office. I'm sure there will be staff there falling over themselves to take your call and listen to your concerns.

Why don't you form an action group and use peaceful protest and sit-ins at the cinema to get your message accross.

How dare they scrimp on the price of a decent sound system. How dare they think they can fool the average punter by turning the sound up on the speakers so no one will notice the below par sound quality.

Disgraceful.

Well the projectionist who kindly showed me around said he was putting together a business case for it to go it, I should think so too!
