APN setting for mytouch? tmobile $10 plan

I have the $10.00 "unlimited web for phones" plan with tmobile. It worked fine on my iphone but I had to input the apn settings myself to get it to work. Now that I just bought a mytouch, I get no data of any kind.

Do I need to put in custom APN settings? If so, what are they?

you need the android data plan for 25$ unlimited data with 400msgs or the 35$ for unlimited msgs and data

only the nexus one can use the 10$plan by altering the APN settings i believe..

anyone feel free to correct me if i'm wrong

Apparently, tmo has the ability to know if you are using the correct data plan with your mytouch and enforce it. If I take the sim out and switch it back to my iphone, it connects fine. Put it back in the mytouch and it sends me to an upgrade page.

Is there anyway to restrict tmo from knowing I am using a mytouch? Anyone have anymore info on this?
 
Nope...the only way to do this is to have a phone not from tmobile..i.e. iphone,nexus one,etc.. sorry gonna have to pony up for the android data plan
 
Ok..so if it is a non-tmobile phone, they cannot restrict it? I suppose unlocking it would not change anything? I've had tmobile employees mention to me that they see I am using an iphone, so at the very least, they know but do not restrict your data if you are on a non-tmobile device.

After all this, I wish I just bought the nexus one since it will end up costing the same after a year of service.
