apes and mini apes on a rg

thinking about adding a set of taller bars to my rg to get arms in a more "normal" position. added heritage bars right after i bought the bike but still seem to put a little pressure on my shoulders....not near as bad as stock bars though....
p.s. pictures appreciated...

No pics (sold FLHR) but I didn't care for long pull-back and wrist angles either and ended up with WG mini apes. They were a little shorter than I would have liked for my "style" but were very comfortable. In fact, they were still on the scoot when I sold her. For reference sake, I'm 6'2" W/34" inseam and was sitting on a Mustang solo.

love the 16's I have but seem to get pulled over every other month for bar height!!! Im 6'5 and bars fit me great so I wont be swapping them out untill cops fine me a couple of times..;-) See pics in my album. have pics of my 05 RG as well.

I'm all eyes and ears on this one Sparky...as I'd like to get a set myself.
Just don't want to drop a big coin down on a set, and not like them.

I bought a set of Heritage style bars off a forum member, and like them
100% better than stock.....

Hope you find the Holy Grail of bars without having to test a half dozen or so.

Thanks for posting the pics. I've been thinking about the same thing (16s) and wondered what they looked like.

I'm on my 3rd set of bars, getting taller each time over stock. I'm at 12" mini apes right now and not terribly pleased. Plus I have a tall Clearview shield and if I don't set them just right I get into clearance issues with my mirrors.

I am going to be changing out my bars this winter. Don't know which ones yet. Over on Road Glide Forum there is a thread dedicated to handlebars it might help.
