can u please do one of these pedigree charts for me.......I just need to know how u did it so I can do the rest

For example this pedigree chart
Chart: (square)------(circle)
branching out from the above are a square, a colored square, a circle, and another circle.

Could these traits be as simple as
a. autosomal recessive? YES/NO if yes then suggested genotypes
of father and mother ___x___
b.autosomal dominant? " "
c. X-linked recessive? " "
d X-linked dominant? " "
e. Y-linked trait? " "
yes/no and the second part in the case of yes requesting the genotypes of the parents applies to all letters.
how do we know it?......serious help please!

Both parents are heterozygous as their children show the classic 3:1 ratio for the trait. That would mean that "A" is the correct statement.

Per your last question, this is for one trait only.

I disagree with the above. Because you have 3 different phenotypes in the offspring, I think it would have to be some sort of sex-linked trait. I'm sorry I'm not sure how to figure it out exactly.

But, because there is a colored circle offspring, which doesn't match either parent, it would have to be recessive (I'm thinking X-linked recessive from the mother.)

My best guess....but I'm not sure because I'm more used to doing the problems where ALL the possibilities of the matings are done.

Edit: changed my mind. X-linked dominant from the mother. :-)
