Anyones Vista seem slow to act?

Vista is bloatware, essentially, and it takes a lot of ram for it to work smoothly, it's more than likely your ram. I think Vista is only comfortable with 4gig.

I had the "opportunity" to run Vista on a brand new box day before yesterday. It was a good spec for the hardware, and I seriously thought it was broken already. Vista certainly appears to be retarded..."bloatware" is the correct term. IMO uninstall Vista and install XP...

Here's the real story behind Vista. I am sticking with XP:

Supposing I don't give a rat's ass about playing HD content on my computer and will never attempt to do so, what relevance does any of this have to the user experience?

IIRC, the reason Vista runs faster for many is that it preloads frequently used programs into RAM, and they are thus available much more quickly than loading them off the HD. Apparently, "Superfetch" is a more enhanced version of the prefetching feature found in previous versions of Windows.

Superfetch FTW. All you dillholes bitching about how "Vista takes up to much RAM, it's bloatware!" Stop crying for 2.5 minutes and Google Superfetch. Your RAM isn't "used up", it's caching your apps and is released when you open something different.
