Anyone with experience with the application BankBook

Hope you are all well ??????.

I have used BankBook version 4.3.4. extensively in the past. I had moved away from it (due only in part to a job change). I?m now back at a job where I will use it extensively again. I installed version 4.3.4 on my Tungsten T3 (in RAM) and transferred ?comma delimited data file? over to my handheld from QuickBooks Pro 2005 on my PC. Everything transfers but the numbers / withdrawal?s (except for just a very few) all end up saying $0.00 ???? The deposits SEEM to want to put ?something? in there (instead of $0.00) but they don?t correlate at all to what is in QuickBook?s what-so-ever.

Any idea?s on what could be going on? ANY advice would be much appreciated so that I may get this up and running for my new employer.

Cheers,

Syno

I wish I had a clue, but I didn't know about this software until I went to their website. In all honesty, what I would do is contact their tech support and pose these same questions to them. Put it in their lap and make them earn their money in helping you.

Syno, do you HAVE to have conduit/synch with PC programs ("Quicken, MS-Money, and spreadsheet programs" as it says on the CNet website I just checked)?

If not, and you want a KILLER bankbook application that's freeware - check out an oldie but goodie called "ma tirelire."

Odd name - quirky cool software - but VERY effective and configurable. That is, if you don't need the synching ability - not sure if ma tirelire does that. It may export as CSV though, which is just as good (in fact I prefer it - more ways to work with the data).

I found it to be the best "checkbook" app I've ever seen.
