Anyone used this software before?

i think they got two things going on.. looks like right now they offer a service similar to houdini which requires a call into their servers to unlock, but they are releasing a standalone program as well ala cdma workshop.
 
Flashtotalk will work great for you if you do not want to hire someone just to flash phones. I started out using them when they first came out and they have helped increase my business tremendously. I can also flash phones myself but I do not have time to try everything out there because I also run the company. I also know other dealers that use Flashtotalk and they are busy nonstop with flashes. Oh, and they are on a way higher level than Houdini! :hehehe:
 
they do full flash as well they use a standalone pc for flashing with a network conection and they do have full data flashed and for a full list i think i saw one on there website i would look and post a link but am not sure if i can
 
:^. Well, that's for the service software. You install it at your place, and then you connect to FlashToTalk, and they flash the phone for you, for a fee. What I'm looking for is a price for the stand alone software that isn't dependent upon a server somewhere else.

:^/ The trouble with the service-dependent solution is that the server isn't always available. What if FlashToTalk (Or Microsoft, for that matter) had been headquartered in New Orleans when Katrina came through? Nobody using their service would be able to help their customers.
 
As far as prices go, they have not announced anything. I am sure the program is going to work though. There has been a lot of time and effort put into it.

As far as natural disasters go... I don't think you have to worry about a tornado hitting their servers or tech support... They had a huge snowstorm a couple weeks ago and everything ran smooth. They can also operate from remote locations plus they are good people and want happy customers.
 
hmmm is there solution actually legal for a carrier to use? I mean using PST's in my store is one thing but hmmm interesting. does anyone know if they service other carriers besides cricket
 
:^/ In theory, if you can change the PRL on a particular phone, you can flash it to any provider you want. In practice, activating it would be another matter. Using a PRL from a GSM provider on a CDMA phone would be unproductive, (Cricket iPhone, anyone?) -and many carriers won't allow ESN's from phones that they didn't cell you. That's half of why Cricket is so popular with hackers.

;^) Soooo, I see know reason not to support every carrier that will allow foreign ESN's.
