Well i picked up my 3 week sample yesterday, haven't started it yet though. I did talk to my doc and he said it does help anxiety. I guess I'll give it a shot.

Salty, how long have you been on lexapro?

My doc wants to put me on Deplin. It supposed to help the antidepressant (in my case prozac) work better. But... in all of my research it looks like this doesn't do anything for anxiety, just depression. Anyone ever try it? Or know anything about it?

I have never heard of it. Do you know how it works? Like is it an SSRI for example?

It's a "medical food for the dietary management of suboptimal folate levels in depressed patients". Basically it's supposed to be taken in conjunction with your antidepressants to help them work better. But I'm not depressed (or at least not that I know of) so I'm not sure why he wants me to take it. I've never heard of it before either, so I'm a bit reluctant to try it. I think it's relatively new.

It has been out for a couple of years. I took it in 2006 with Cyrabalta for about 8 months and didn't feel a difference at all. All it basically is is a Folic Acid supplement that is suppose to enhance the effects of the AD you are on. Luckily I was getting samples so I didn't have to pay for it. Not worth it in my opinion.

I hope it works for me. I just found out about it on the boarRAB. If you do a search for deplin, you will see that it works for some and not others.

I'm going to mention it to my dr. next time i go. I wonder if he's even heard about it.

I'm willing to try anything to help lexapro. I am also going to add WB, so i'm glad your dr. may think it will help anxiety because i will have even more of it w/the WB.

I'll let you know if it works.

That's interesting because I've been on Prozac for about 6 years. I think my meRAB are wearing off. I started taking the Deplin 4 days ago, can't say I notice anything yet. I'll keep you updated.

Thank you, KillPanic, please do.

I was so good on provigil, but violent headaches. Now i'm trying adderall and so far so good. I started to get a headache and took some advil and it went away, couldn't do that the provigil, the headache would not go away no matter what i took!

I'm hoping i can continue to function by using the adderall.

I'm getting ready to post about name brand WB XL. My insurance won't cover that because it's in generic now!
