Anyone stop watching the news on television because it is just so depressing?

I use to be a news junkie and would always switch back between MSNBC, CNN, FOXNEWS and CNN Headline News. Now I have grown tired of all the negative news about the economy. I suspect that while the economy is not good, it is not as bad as they say because most people are still working, stores are still crowded and commerce continues. I suspect the parent companies of the news channels want to hype the bad economy because they want to get a piece of the economic stimulus money.

If Obama is able to convince Congress to pass the Trillion Dollars in stimulus there is alot of money to be made by General Electric, the parent company of NBC News.

Are you tired of the sky is falling news on Television and in newspapers? Have you stopped watching?
 
i get my news from a internet paper ...the news , it's true , these days are depressing and with all kinds of violence
