Has anyone seen the new film by Oliver Stone on George W Bush? Did you like it? I liked very much "JFK" and "Nixon" and I've heard praises of the latest film too.
Stone, who is the same generation as Dubya doesn't make fun of him. Dubya is portrayed as a sad and tragicomic figure who so much tries to please his strong father.
This gives me another idea for another political film. Imagine a film about a politician who wants to become a leader of a country but is overshadowed for years by someone much more charismatic who refuses to let him take the position as leader of the country.
Finally when the old leader steps down and the one who wanted his job gets it, it soon turns out to be that he is completely incompetent for the job but his hunger for power stops him from acknowledging the fact and to step down once he has achieved what he has always wanted.
Of course, a fictitious country and fictitious characters, I wasn't thinking of anyone or any country in particular as an example.
