There's a drink riding on this one. When Nathaniel was young and saw the burning truck drive down his street, was that supposed to represent racism or the onset of his schizophrenia?
Well I get where you're going with this, but personally, I thought it was the beginning of his schizophrenia. It was too surreal when the truck was going down the street (there were no screams or sounds of distress other than a dog casually barking) and then the camera would cut to the fire that was burning in the fireplace. So I took that to mean that the truck wasn't really there. I'll go with the majority on this one though....looks like I owe my sister a drink!
 
Racism, I think. It was showing the period the country was going through. Plus, schizophrenia isn't really visions is it? They just think everyone is out to get them and they hear voices in their heads.
