Tuesday was my birthday, and searching around on itunes for stuff to get, and I saw that The Secret of Kells was for sell. I remember seeing the movie mentioned on a review around a year ago (before it's Oscar nom) and had been dying to see it ever since that time. When I finally downloaded it and watched it, it was worth every single second of waiting! The design, characters, and story are all fantastic! I read on the movies blog, and appearently the DVD is being sold at Target, Best Buy, and Barnes and Noble (odd choices for exclusive sell, don't you think?) and I would recommend everyone go out and check it out!

Gee, that sounded like some spam-bot commercial, didn't it? Oh well. Great movie, deserves the recognition!

I saw Secret of the Kells, and I remember it as the film that got me into the indie films. I for one enjoyed it and loved it. Best part of it is that the whole thing reminded me of Samurai Jack.

I really wanted to see this in theaters, but the only "artsy" theater in the area either never got it or didn't advertise it. Hopefully the local video store will get it.

I'm glad it got some exposure at the Oscars, though.

They screened it at my college and I got a digital copy of it last year.
I thought the art was fantastic. Story wise.....it was alright.

Saw it this past spring, it was really a great film and well worth the nomination it got. Great style, wonderful music, and pretty good story and characters

Frankly the only issue i had with the film was that the character Aisling. despite how much she appears in the marketing, it feels as though her character seemed to contribute little and could have easily been written out. I do think their was some good potential for her character, but it fell too short. Thinking about, i think i might have preferred a silent white wolf over a fairy; I feel like that would have come off as being much stronger...

Just watched the preview. Can't say I'm too impressed by the character design at all. The lighting and backgrounds are good I guess. However, the movie comes off like every other fancy art design filled movie or short I've seen. I don't have much interest in it.

I bought the European dvd off of eBay a few months ago. Loved every minute of it, I had to say. However, the ending was rather weak when compared with the rest of the film.

I saw it months ago, and I thought it was a very good film. The story was a little bit on the cliche side, but the animation style was fantastic! I highly recommend for those who haven't seen this movie do so.
