I have a 42" Samsung DLP and I plugged my Wii up to it using the composite cables that came with the console. The thing looks horrible. It looks better on my SD Sony Triniton. I had this same problem with my original XBOX, the standard definition just looked like crap on the DLP. Is there some setting that I am missing on the television to get a better picture? Or is it just something that I am going to have to live with?

not my xbox, i have a toshiba 46 inch dlp, and yes the Wii doesn't look great or anything, but the component will help it out....
btw, did you put your sensor bar on top or bottom..

Use component / S-video instead of composite. It improved the picture a lot with my PS2 & 50-inch Sony SXRD.

the bottom of the tv with the sensor bar stand seems to feel better..
yeah, get component cables that go with the wii. I just know we have a samsung lcd (dunno if that makes a difference) and my bf said it won't look good without the wii component cables (which are sold out, and back ordered), though I don't notice a difference with wii sports. It doesn't look too bad, but we haven't played zelda yet either...

Wii on HDTV will look terrible. Even reviews (from CNet) said that you might as well buy a CRT instead of hooking it up to one.
