is anyone into park chan-wook? I think that korean film j.s.a (joint security area) is finally coming out on dvd in the u.s. officially. Has anyone seen it? Let me know if its worth buying.

JSA is an excellent film. Well worth getting. It's already out in the US.

I heard a rumour that Hollywood will remake it. I can't see how that'll work if they set it in USA......

What next? Will they remake 'The Isle'?!

I'm into Korean films but I get confused with the directors and actors names. Is Park-Chan Wook the bloke who made Memories of Murder, or the one who made Oldboy? Or Sympathy for Mr Vengeance or Save the Green Planet? Or all four?

Anyway, I think I will probably buy this when it comes out in a couple of weeks.

A Tale of Two Sisters is one of my all time favourites from Korea, wonderful psychological horror/thriller.

I've seen most of the important films from Park, like JSA, the excellent Oldboy and Sympathy For Mr. Vengeance(and will see Lady Vengeance also!). Really enjoy watching this director's work. He section Cut, from three Extremes is cool too, worth watching this.

Areece, Park didn't make Memories of Murder, that good film was made by Bong Joon-ho.

Volcano high is a fun movie, just don't watch the awful dubbed version from mtv, absolutely crap.

The Tube is still in my dvd pile to watch. One of the most expensive Korean films apparently. Shiri is worth checking out.

As is the two serial killer films H, and one of my favourites Tell Me Something.

The Big Swindle is excellent too.
