anyone on their high school debate team?

im looking into joining a few clubs this year and i wanna do debate team. i can make really good points about things and talk pretty fast. if your on a deabte team/club, how do you like it, and what do you do to prepare?
 
I did speech and debate and absolutely loved it! So fun! I did expository speaking, not debate, but the best parts were nothing to do with the actually speaking part really. And speaking eloquently and confidently does carry you along way too.
