For the last 8 years(mostly 2001-2006) Republicans out spent any Democratic controlled Congress in the History of the United States. They spent our money like David Vitter at the Cadillac Ranch on Viagra!, Suddenly after their embarrassing defeat they have had seen the light again! Is this just the party trying to block Obama or are they trying to make up for last 8 years at the expense of children's education and aid to our failing States? Apparently they are the only ones who are allowed to spend our tax money and all we got out of it was a failed economy and two wars...do you think they are now being disingenuous?.Seems to me that the balanced budget and the lack of debt under Bill Clinton exonerates him from the mess.I have noticed that when conservatives are questioned they tend to use insults. Is this because they do not have the facts? Some below even claim Bush was not a Republican....lolThe Govt. was under Republican control for last 8 years and Republicans were in for 6 years...passing the Dinosaur Medicare bill and running up defecits!

Real Republicans ARE fiscal conservatives. What's your point? Bush wasn't a real Republican, if that is what you are driving at.And who the hell do you think it is that makes the laws in this country? Do you think Presidents do? YOU'RE WRONG. The President can suggest things, but the final say comes from Congress. And guess who had the majority from 2006 on...DEMOCRATS.Your ignorance amuses me.

That's rightPelosi is your God and you follow her blindly right.Like we can control congress or Dubey.

Carter and Clinton did far more damage than the Bushes.Obama is simply placing himself in a position to finish what FDR started and the rest of the Democrats failed to complete -- the destruction of this country. This stimulus package (why the #@$*%& did W propose one in the first place?!?!) is a partial echo of what FDR did, which extended the Great Depression by 30 years. All he has to do now for a full repeat is to recall 1/3 of the cash in the U.S. economy, and the deed will be done. DEflation will occur, and then at the behest of the O-Sheep, Hyperinflation will set in, and we will become like the Weimar Republic. Our enemies will swarm in upon us and reduce us to ashes because we will no longer be able to support a credible armed force, much less 5 of them (including the Coast Guard)/

republicans are smarter and less rash than democrats. whatever they do is right, and that's all you need to know

That's why I don't believe any words they spew. They just have no base for what they stand for.

Fiscal conservatism is something that Republicans have traditionally liked to associate themselves with. They don't always practice what they preach, but they like to remind people that that's one of the things they claim to stand for.

Listening to republicans bidch about the stimulus plan is like listening to a drunk bidch to a bartender about how to make a drink.

You need to check out those facts and remember the time period you live in. The Democratic congress of the last 2 years increased our debt by 2 trillion dollars in those years. The Republican congress increased it by only 3 trillion in the prior 6 years. Check it out brain drain!

I believe in the middle class, who work hard to make the wealth for the republicans, so nothing surprises me.

Point 1 - George W Bush was NOT a conservative. Point 2 - Congress has been controlled by the Democrats since 2006.There is plenty of blame to go around. Oh, and by the way, it was the Dems, Chris Dodd and Barney Frank who BLOCKED Republican efforts to derail the financial meltdown, but your beloved Democrats decided they would rather see many of us lose our jobs by crashing the financial industry under GWB's watch than to have the Democrats lose seats in Congress.

I'm ashamed of my own party too. They spent ridiculously and foolishly. But it's not all the Bush Administration's fault for the recession. It was also inherited and other things out of their control.

I think that the reason we voted Bush out of office is because he was a fiscal danger.I think a Republican majority kept Clinton under control.I think the Republican majority under Bush sold my kids to Uncle Sam's Plantation. I think that neoconservatives are natural born spenders because they have their roots in the Democratic party.I think the country is screwed.

Its rather obvious that they are being disingenuous. Actually, a "bunch of hypocrites" would describe them better.
