I came across a forum whereby they are discussing whether N90 users able to do video recording while the flip is closed

One of the users claimed that for his N90, he is able to do video recording while the flip is closed. This is what he says:
"Maybe I'm exploiting a bug in the N90 firmware, I dont know. (Firmware version = 3.0545.5) But for me it is posible to keep recording when the flip is closed."

Sorry no ill intention but just like to hear some opinion from the N90 users over here as there are much much more experts in this forum.

What about N93? If any have this experience on able to record in N93 while the flip is closed. Share it over here and let us know your firmware as well.
Cheers.

dude from your posts, sounds like you're looking to do some shady photo/videoing.

1. Can you disable the shutter sound
2. Can you record with the flip closed
3. Can you disable the recording light

Item 1 and 3 seems commonly ask questions in other forum and i couldn't find it here so i just consolidate and post all the questions here as there are quite many users here as well.
As for this main question (item 2) above, I extracted it from Mobileburn.com over here to discuss and there are not as much user as here.
If you find that is not appropriate, Moderators, you may delete off this thread.
Sorry about that if anyone is offended.

I haven't been able to do that (video with flip closed on my N90). Soon as you rotating the screen so it lines up with the small part of the flip that is attached to the hinge (that is needed to close the flip) the video mode cuts out.

I do like taking stills by just flipping the lens. Much less hassle and can be accomplished with one hand. Doesn't look like the N93 can take stills like that so that's why I'm not going with that one.

Much of what I like about having a decent camphone at my disposal at all times is the chances I get to take great photos when I least suspect it. It's not about perversion and it's kind of a shame it's gotten to that.
