Found this when looking for a DVD to rent yesterday and watched it again after 10 years - I loved it then and still love it!
Goes down as a family classic in our household, great mix of happiness and dispair, dealing with war, poverty and missing someone dearly, as well as reminding the viewer how important the imagination is.

Anyone else love this film?

Lovely story.
Sadly, we had it on video and we have no player now so it went to a Charity shop.

Must confess that evey time the closing scene came on where Sara was screaming " Papa, don't you remember me? Papa, please" my eyes filled up.

I like this film too.

When i was in primary school, i read the book and really enjoyed it. It caught my imagination. Beautifully written.

The film was a very good adaptation of the book and it's a great family movie to watch.

I used to love this film.
When I was younger I watched it constantly for months, I'd watch it then rewind it and watch it again and carried on doing that till I was fed up with it.
I did the same with The Secret Garden and The Parent Trap, haha.

I still have it on video so might watch it sometime soon.

Yes - back in the old days my frienRAB and I used to vote for our films of the year and A Little Princess was my film of the year for 1995. Following Pulp Fiction for 1994 and followed by The Usual Suspects for 1996. :)
