Definately, next thing you know applecore breakdown skank core is gonne be all the rage. Its infected metal as well, everytime a hardcore band includes a non-punk influence, a new core genre seems to be born.
 
madball did not start 'the scene' i donno who did but there were plenty of hardcore banRAB before them including the crumbsuckers, agnostic front, hell even sick of it all was around before them i believe.

dude poison the well is defiantly not fucking screamo, and atreyu is not a fucking emo band because they have singing parts to me tuning to C classifies you as some type of metal, plus when was the last time you heard an emo band with guitar parts like atreyu
