I have a 1995 Chrysler Seabring that I bought from a used car dealer ship a year ago, and never had problems.. until now.. the car will start sometimes, but most of the time it wont start, and ill keep trying until it finally does. Or, I'll be driving, and it will die in the middle of the road, especially when I lay off the gas peddle or slow down by hitting the breaks slowly. It doesnt give warning, but the check engine light comes on before it dies. I've been told MANY different things, it could be the fuel pump, the fuel filter, both of those, or maybe even to just unplug the EGR valve?! Ive taken it to a mechanic but the problem is they cant tell whats wrong if the car doesnt act up there, so of course at auto zone it WOULD start so they wernt able to detect the problem. but when i got it home, it wouldnt start again. It's not a convertible, and it is a manual... does anyone know what could possibly be wrong??? btw, since i bought it a year ago, the fuel filter hasnt been changed, neither has the spark plugs, and its never had a tune up.. so i know thats bad but could any of this be the problem?? Also, its been driven on E a lot by different people, could this of caused it?? Please help! Thanks!!!

Start checking electrical connections and grounds. Have a mechanic do a scan to make sure the senors are all right. Do check spark plugs and wires.

Driving on E alot can quickly burn up a fuel pump. Test it when it doesn't start for proper pressure and volume. Definately tune it up and change fuel/air filters.

change the fuel filter ,back at the gas tank. when did you replace the air filter last, change it if needed.also replace the pcv valve and filter element inside the breather.sounds like it can't breathe.
