These shipments are meant to fulfill the contracts they had with each store and how much they are going to get. IE if ebgames got shorted with their alottment they will be receiving that. So what I'm trying to say is, trying to find a PS3 unclaimed for already through preorders or rain checks will be nearly impossible.

Sony wants to ship them weekly, but no one knows for sure. Likely Gamestop will send their units to the largest preorder deficit places before reaching the smaller areas like your local suburb mall.
