My dad just bought a load of fish from a cold caller because it was for a fantastic price and they had been reccomended to us by a neighbour. Most of the fish are Labeled Halibut, Sole, Smoked haddock, plaice, Smoked Salmon, Kippers and Bass. But two of them are without labels.
One has been filleted and is a bone white so thats really difficult to identify. Could be haddock could be cod.
But one has a very smooth texture with extremely fine scales, so fine that they dont look like scales. And the colour at the bottom is white blending into grey at the top. I looks similar to bass but very very smooth. Any thoughts on what it could be?
