Arkansas Alcohol Seller / Server Certification
Arkansas has various laws regulating the legal age an individual needs to be to consume, sell, or serve alcoholic beverages and other regulations regarding the sale and service of alcoholic beverages. Within Arkansas, the legal age to consume alcoholic beverages is 21. There are also rules and regulations regarding what is required to become a bartender in Arkansas.

I would have thought since the legal drinking age in the USA is 21, you wouldn't be allowed to serve alcohol if you are under 21. If your boss owns the resturrant/bar they should know the law.

The law in Arkansas for serving alcohol was recently changed from 21 years of age to 19 years old for serving alcohol. Since Boone county is dry, the only way a restaurant gets a liquor license is by charging a fee to join the establishment. At one time, it was $5.00. But, the restaurant must be classified as a restaurant or a private club before being allowed a license. And, yes, the manager should absolutely know the law!
