Anyone know of any good hikes in the Western Washington area?

by good I mean as challenging as possible. I'm already doing Mount Si up by North Bend the day after tomorrow, and Mount Granite next week. I live in Maple Valley (by Kent, Covington & Renton) and distance is a factor, but is not mandatory-closer the better regardless. I want a hike that's practically straight uphill. If any climbing gear is required, let me know as well, and specify what it is if you can. Thanks all!

I have never done any hiking that needed gear, but when I lived in Wa I did go to the Olympic Peninsula to hike Mt. Ellinor. There are two trailheads, I have hiked from both of them. The lower one is pretty flat, but the upper trail gets steep after a while and stays that way.
I found it to be a challenging hike. The view from the top was spectacular.
I hope this isn't too far away.
