Anyone know anything about kawasaki IC Ignitor?

Have an 02 Vulcan 750 with slight engine knock. Bike has a little over 4,600 miles and as far as I can tell it's not a rod knock. Per Service Manual, an engine knock could be caused by a bad I.C.Ignitor. Ignitor has 2 plug ins, one with 4 terminals and one with 6 terminals. The Ohm readings on the one with 4 terminals reads within range (12 readings). On the one with 6 terminals, only 6 of the 30 Ohm readings are within correct range. Not familiar with operation of the Ignitor or how it could cause a knock. Engine starts without any problem. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions?
