Anyone know any books as good as Cynthia Voigt's Kingdom series?

I read alot of her books, but I like those the most. I also really loved A Solitary Blue, but I just don't seem to like the other books continuing from that series. I just like descriptive, deep books, and they don't have to be fantasy, but yeah... :D
 
Try Dune series. It's very famous classic.

These are very deep. I like them for that. First one isn't as deep but is an interesting read none the less
