anyone know about HD tv?

okay so some professional came into the house to calibrate our HD tv and said that our tv was too bright and will end of fading the picture...the only problem is the picture looked FANTASTIC b4 he calibrated it...now he tells us to have it really dark...ive never seen anyone elses tv so dark

dont u pay for bright colors...i feel like my average tv in my room now has a better picture than my HD lol is this how its supposed to be??
 
Get out your owner's manual and find the instructions for resetting the TV to its factory default settings. It should be in the menu somewhere. That should restore the picture to the type of brightness, etc. that yo expect. If you want, you can then make adjustments on picture quality in the set's menu.
