For awhile now I have been having pain in hip around to right thigh & sometimes groin. It's painful to get up from sitting position etc. I went to Chiropractor & he sd it's femoral artery & feels he can help. It did feel alot better when I left but today it's starting to hurt. Have to go back Monday. Anyone had this?

You'll find that most of us here aren't real big on chiropractors. If you're having a true problem, not just normal aches and pains, a chiropractor can make it worse or even cause permanent damage. You'd be better off going to a real doctor and getting a diagnosis.

I'm no doctor (and neither is the chiropractor), but I never heard of the femoral artery causing that type of pain. How does he know that? And how does he intend to correct it? I'm sorry, but it really doesn't make sense to me.

I hope you get the help you need.

I have similar advice for you. I have had similar pain and it ended up being SI (sacro-iliac) joint related. Femoral does not sound right to me either. I had 30+ visits with a chiropractor who also thought he could help (told me that it would be a piece of cake) with no benefit. I would also see a regular doctor. I am now doing better with both a pain-management specialist and in physical therapy.

Please don't let the chiropractor treat you. Especially if you don't know what the problem is! I started off with similar pain in my groin. It really only bothered me when I stood up from a sitting position. My Chiro diagnosed it as a tight or strained muscle and went to work on me with her tricks. The pain only spread and got worse so I finally went to a real doctor. As it turns out I have a big problem in my spine and the chiro could have made it worse.

I don't know anything about a femoral artery but I wanted to add my 2 cents about the chiropractor.
