I need to find a movie review site that will let me know the ins/outs of a particular movie, so that when my teenager asks to go see something with a friend, I can make an informed decision as to whether or not he is allowed to see it. But I need a site that doesn't use professional movie critics... and not rotten tomatoes, either... something "family friendly."

Anyone know a good movie review site for MOMS?

I have two sites for you! The first is www.themoviespoiler.com . Regular people (not critics) submit the entire plots of the most current movies for you to read. I love this site because then I can find out what happens in a movie that probably isn't worth spending the cash to go see, but I would still like to know what happens. I did that for Ghostrider and decided it probably wouldn't be that great to see, but at least I am informed about it. The second site is www.kidsinmind.com . This site rates movies according to how much sex/nudity, violence and language there is in a movie. Standard movie ratings are so vague, it can be difficult to know what they're truly like. Kid-in-mind is less plot oriented, so it doesn't give away the ending or the storyline. Basically it describes stuff like this: man hugs woman, woman kisses man on cheek, 4 obcenties uttered, man shoots another man. Sometimes reading these can be kind of funny. Anyway, I hope you find these two sites as useful as I have.

I find this site extremely interesting, and it is probably exactly what you are looking for. It does not review the movies based on merit, but on content. It rates movies on three criteria: Sex & nudity, Violence & gore, and profanity, each from one to ten. Here’s the exciting part: Every instance of sex, nudity, violence, and gore is listed as bullet points under their respective categories. And I mean every instance. Also, there is a list of how many instances profanity was uttered, and how many of each profanity type. There is a list of displays of substance abuse, and convenient discussion topics. Even more convenient is at the end of each review, the message is listed.
Both of these sites have reviews for almost every movie that comes out. I hope this helped!
