Anyone heard of a gsx-r 600+ ?

I was wondering if anyone is familar with a Gixxer 600+

The reason I ask is I may buy one from a friend of a friend. It is a 2004 Yellow black gixxer 600+. It only has 1200 miles on it. My buddy told me the dealer sold it to him as similarly powered bike to the 750. The reason he didn't buy the 750 is because they didnt have them readibly available in that color combo in 04. So the dealer has some type of "supped up bike" that they sold. The paperwork says 600+ not jus 600. I was wondering if anyone has heard of this...

He's full of dung. His dealer took him for a ride. I'd never buy a motorcycle from someone so ignorant. Who knows how he maintained it?

Oh the other hand, it could be a modded bike. Still, there's no such thing as a 600+.

Mods could be applied at many levels.

But if you are new to the sport, the Gixxer is not a beginner bike. Read a little on the forum, do a search.
 
Like Louis said, it's not a beginner bike anyway.

Chances are it has an aftermarket exhaust and some bling. It's also possible that they got into the camshafts and fuel curve. Look for evidence of stunting, such as leaky fork seals, super low mileage and any body damage. Check for an oversize rear sprocket.
 
thanks guys for the tips... newbie gsxr 600 rider is here :) jus took the bike for a 45 min drivee around the sub division first time ever... stalled about 50 times coming out of first but i was gettin the hang of it... gsxr 600 should be plenty for me as first bike... eventually get my aprilia mille
