Anyone having various problems with their Mazda RX-8?

I have a 2005 Mazda RX8, bought brand new. I've been experiencing quite a few problems, nothing too major and I do take my car in for maintenance everytime the time is due and get the full inspection (and no I do not abuse my car in anyway) . It's only been 5 years and I have it at the dealership needing a new engine. I was just curious to know if anyone has or is experiencing anything similar to this? Thank you
 
It's called you bought a sports car but don't know how to drive, so chances are you killed the engine. On a positive note, a lot of dealerships don't like to deal with hassle, so they will tell you it needs to be replaced, but if you go to a local mechanic, they might be able to save it.
