Wanting to paint my car and was thinking about Maaco and have been told by one person it wasn't that good. Just wanted an opinion by someone whose had their car painted with the Ambassador paint job by Maaco. Pictures would be appreciated.
My dad pushed me into this Honda Del Sol. The paint is pretty uneven. The right side and the hood is fine its darker red. the left and rear is a little faded w/ oxidation and the door handle paint is chipping off. It looks as if its been parked with uneven shading a lot or had exterior pieces replaced and painted half ass.
I've been told that since its such a small car I might be able to get the Presidential paint job for a little cheaper. Is that any good? Pictures would be appreciated.
Also, I do not need under the hood or inside the trunk or stuff like that painted, that paint is fine. I'm only needing to repaint the red paint it came with so, would that be easier and get me a better deal or get them to do a better job?
Also, I'd like to know how long it lasts. Like, is there immediate chipping or fading? I'm a college student on a budget and I do like Honda Del Sols and I plan on keeping this car a while and would like the paint to at least look decent and last without very obvious fading or chipping due to bad work until I have enough money to either buy a better Del Sol or have it painted better.

I actually had four used cars painted by Maaco to sell off my lot. All looked good except one silver Pontiac. It looked terrible. Not enough paint on it. Sorry I wasn't enough to suit you on previous answer which follows:

My body man used to be Maaco man of the year. He has done many Maaco jobs and says they are all crap because they simply do not put enough paint on the car to get any durability. Experience is that the paint will look great but last only one year. Sell it before that.
